Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 15: WR Brandon Marshall

Heading into Week 15 Fantasy Football, wide receiver Brandon Marshall isn’t worth starting in the grand scheme of things.

As the regular season is almost coming to an end, the New York Jets are doing their best to find some positives to take away into the offseason. Needless to say, 2016 will be a year many would like to forget, especially when it comes to the overall offense of the Jets. Should fantasy football owners think about giving wide receiver Brandon Marshall one final nod in hopes of turning things around?

Unfortunately, owners should sit Marshall this week as he’s set to face the Miami Dolphins, later on, tonight. It’s nothing against his skill-set but since he’s a marquee name on the Jets, it’s just that opposing defenses have been double and even triple teaming Marshall.

Considering that quarterback Bryce Petty has his new go-to target in wide receiver Robby Anderson, it has undoubtedly hit Marshall’s reps coming his way. Last week against the San Francisco 49ers, Marshall only totaled 33 receiving yards and just three receptions.

Fantasy football owners would be wise to sit Marshall this week considering that his lack of production isn’t worth risking in starting. For just a select few owners out there, this is postseason time and unfortunately, Marshall just won’t do much of anything this week against the Dolphins.

Since this season is pretty much over with the Jets, they will give more reps to their younger players, especially at wide receiver. With younger players like Anderson, Jalin Marshall, and Devin Smith hopefully seeing some action, it will push Marshall further down the totem pole.

Overall, Marshall is a veteran receiver headed towards the final few years of his prolific career. For this week, however, he’s a must-sit in the grand scheme of things.
