Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 15: TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins
Heading into Week 15 Fantasy Football, owners would be wise to sit tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins since he continues to add very little to no upside in the grand scheme of things.
Fantasy football owners have waited for this moment all year long. For a select amount of owners, they’ve made it to the beginning of the postseason in their fantasy leagues. It wasn’t easy but took a ton of patience, research, and getting up early to hit the waiver wire weekly.
This isn’t the time to take bold risks or hope for a sleeper pick to rise to the occasion and deliver. Each and every single starter must be the best available. Even if you have to hit the waiver wire at the very last second to ensure you get a better tight end is recommended to avoid getting nothing out of the position.
When it comes to tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, it’s best to stay away. Jenkins produces very little to no fantasy points and all season long hasn’t done much of anything for the New York Jets. Of course, their offense utilizes tight ends mostly as blockers to protect the quarterback and help establish the run but even if the reps he’s gotten, hasn’t exactly screamed premier tight end.
Fantasy football owners should sit Jenkins this week and use another viable option at tight end. Even though the Jets are playing the Miami Dolphins at home, there won’t be any breakout game for Jenkins or even a masterful performance.

Jenkins will once again be relegated to mostly blocking duties and get five or fewer passes coming his way. Even last week against the San Francisco 49ers, Jenkins totaled just 35 receiving yards on three receptions. Needless to say, any other option at tight end will easily get owners more fantasy points.
Overall, expect much of the same later on tonight for the Dolphins vs Jets game. He’s just not worth starting this week since he’s way too much of a risk to hope for anything more than a lackluster performance.
