Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 15: RB Matt Forte
Heading into Week 15 Fantasy Football, running back Matt Forte is a must-sit due to an unfortunate injury.
Unfortunately for fantasy football owners that have running back Matt Forte, things aren’t looking good for him heading into Week 15. Last week against the San Francisco 49ers, Forte suffered a torn meniscus injury. He was replaced with running back Bilal Powell as it’s looking more and more likely Forte will see limited action on Saturday if at all.
Technically, Forte will be a game-time decision for head coach Todd Bowles as the New York Jets welcome the Miami Dolphins to MetLife Stadium. Despite it being another AFC East division showdown, the Jets will more than likely give Powell more reps in the grand scheme of things.
Fantasy football owners would be wise to either find another running back or if available, use Powell instead. Either way, Forte should sit this week due to his injury and the fact that his numbers have severely dropped.
It’s not due to Forte’s skill set but rather, the situation he’s in with the Jets. They relied more on their passing game than their ground attack, and needless to say, it hasn’t been working much this season.

Considering that Forte has missed practice this week with the Jets further solidifies that it’s best to find another option at running back. If you’re fortunate enough to be in your fantasy postseason, Forte is definitely not worth risking a start on this week.
It’s easily the most crucial point of the season as a loss this week for owners means an end to their year. Hit the waiver wire for another viable option if you don’t have another decent running back to insert in your final lineups.
