Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 12: QB Ryan Fitzpatrick
When it comes to Week 12 Fantasy Football, should owners take a chance on quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick as he faces the New England Patriots at home? The short answer is absolutely not.
Make no mistake about it, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is easily one of the worst at his position this season. So far in 2016, he’s totaled 1,983 passing yards, 168 completions, eight touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. When it comes to his fantasy football value, it’s easy to see that Fitzpatrick isn’t worth starting this week.
In Week 12 action, the New York Jets invite the New England Patriots to their home in MetLife Stadium for a classic AFC East showdown. Well, probably a beatdown considering just how good the Patriots have been playing as of late.
Unfortunately for fantasy football owners hoping to channel some late season Fitzmagic, that won’t be the case. Considering that Fitzpatrick is dealing with a right knee injury and is a turnover-prone quarterback, doesn’t bode well for what awaits him after a bye week.
Fantasy football owners would be wise to use another quarterback, any other quarterback for that matter than starting Fitzpatrick. He’s not even justifiable as an option on the bench due to how poorly he’s been all season long.

The Jets offense is terrible as even in 1st and goal situations, they can’t seem to punch in touchdowns. Against the stout defense of the Patriots, Sunday afternoon could turn into a nightmare for Fitzpatrick and company. It’s best to sit him this week in the grand scheme of things.
Overall, find another option at quarterback and don’t let hope cloud your judgment from reality. Fitzpatrick is terrible and will continue to stink it up all season long as he continues to start for the Jets.
