Fans roast Texans' promo for free food after embarrassing Patriots loss

Given that they entered Thursday night as anywhere between 1.5 and 2.5 point favorites, it seems fair to say that no one foresaw the Texans' embarrassing shutout loss to the Patriots. A New England win? That might have been predictable; one should know better than to bet against Bill Belichick, regardless of injuries.

But a 27-0 beatdown left the Texans searching for a silver lining -- so how about free food for the masses, since Houston did manage to rush for triple-digits against New England?

Unfortunately for the poor soul behind the Texans' Twitter account, Houston fans reacted about as well as you'd imagine when offered a delicious six-piece to calm their sorrows:

"How about y'all play some McDefense?" Absolutely vicious. We never knew that the NFL hath no fury like a Texans fan scorned. Then again, if Houston fans don't want their McNuggets, we'll gladly take them. After all, McDonald's used to be the official weekday meal of at least one NFL team.
