Falcons receiver Sanu out Sunday vs Rams; Jones questionable
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) The Atlanta Falcons will be without receiver Mohamed Sanu for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams because of a groin injury.
Still unclear is the status of the team's best receiver. Julio Jones has turf toe, did not practice all week and was listed as questionable.
Left tackle Jake Matthews has an ailing knee and also is questionable. He did get limited work in practice Friday after sitting out the previous days.
Sanu was hurt in last week's loss to Kansas City. He ranks second on the team with 49 receptions for 521 yards and three touchdowns.
To bolster depth at receiver, the Falcons promoted Nick Williams from the practice squad and released cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson.
