Falcons receiver Julio Jones sets franchise record with 300-yard game
Falcons receiver Julio Jones broke his own franchise record for receiving yards in a game on Sunday, hauling in 12 catches for 300 yards and a touchdown.
Jones’s previous record was 259 yards on 11 catches on Dec. 8, 2014 against the Packers.
Quarterback Matt Ryan also broke his own franchise record for passing yards in a game with 503. He threw for 448 yards against the Saints on Sept. 7, 2014.
The record for receiving yards in a game is held by Flipper Anderson, who had 336 yards on 15 catches for the Rams in 1989. Calvin Johnson challenged the record in 2013 with 329 yards.
Norm Van Brocklin’s record of 554 passing yards in a game has stood since 1951.
