Falcons' Devonta Freeman again held out of practice
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman was held out of practice again, leaving his status uncertain for Sunday's game against Carolina.
Coach Dan Quinn said Thursday he'll know more about Freeman's status on Friday.
Tevin Coleman would start if Freeman can't play. Running back Brian Hill was promoted from the practice squad earlier in the week.
A smiling Freeman playfully called out to reporters during the time the locker room was open to media on Thursday. Players who don't practice aren't made available for interviews.
Freeman had six carries for 36 yards and three catches for 14 yards in Atlanta's 18-12 loss at Philadelphia last week.
