Even with Ingram and Spiller, Khiry Robinson ready to make an impact

Khiry Robinson may be sitting behind both Mark Ingram and C.J. Spiller on the depth chart for the New Orleans Saints, but that doesn't mean he's feeling like the odd man out according to Mike Triplett of ESPN.

“I’m the type of person, I’m gonna get what I get and do what I do with it. So whether it’s 20 carries or one carry, I’m gonna do the best of my ability every play,” said the third-year pro, who cracked the Saints' roster as an undrafted tryout player out of West Texas A&M in 2013.

Robinson has faced an uphill battle since he made the team as an undrafted player, but even with the competition going on in the backfield, he says there's no hard feelings at all.

“It’s all love in the backfield. We all work together, try to help each other. So I think it’s a good thing we’ve got a full backfield again. So if anybody goes down, we’ve got another player right up there to do the same thing.” Robinson told ESPN.

There's a good reason why Robinson shouldn't feel like the odd man out, as we've seen him average 4.5 yards per carry over his first two seasons in the league. One key for Robinson will be staying on the field though, as he's only played in 10 games in each of those two seasons.

We're all excited to see what this running game in New Orleans will look like, for good reason.
