Eric Decker nominated for Salute to Service Award

Wide receiver Eric Decker of the New York Jets was officially nominated for the Salute to Service Award presented by the United Services Automobile Association.

Despite being out for the remainder of the regular season, wide receiver Eric Decker continues to be a driving force in the community. Decker has officially been nominated for his sixth annual Salute to Service Award presented by the USAA.

He was announced as the Jets nominee for the “Salute to Service Award presented by USAA.” The award, presented annually by USAA and the NFL, honors a league member who demonstrates an exemplary commitment to honoring and supporting the military community. USAA is the Official Military Appreciation Sponsor of the NFL.

Finalists for the award are announced in January. The recipient will be recognized at the NFL Honors awards show in Houston on FOX on Saturday, Feb. 4, the night before Super Bowl LI. Decker was nominated by the Jets because of his appreciation for the military, having launched the Eric and Jessie Decker Foundation.
