Eagles LB Alonso all but ruled out versus Jets due to knee injury

Philadelphia Eagles inside linebacker Kiko Alonso has all but been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the New York Jets due to a knee injury.

Alonso sprained his left knee in last week's 20-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys and was expected to sit out, but coach Chip Kelly on Wednesday raised the possibility of Alonso playing. He did not practice again Thursday and Kelly said Alonso most likely is out.

There have been conflicting reports over the severity of the injury to Alonso, who missed the entire 2014 season after tearing the same knee ligament.

Inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) also missed Thursday's practice and remains a question mark for Sunday's game. "We'll continue to monitor him," Kelly said.

Defensive end Taylor Hart (shoulder) did not practice Thursday and could be sidelined along with defensive end Cedric Thornton, who has already been ruled out with a broken bone in his hand.
