Dolphins GM Ireland will apologize again to Cowboys' Bryant

Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland plans to apologize face-to-face to Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant for asking before April's NFL Draft whether Bryant's mother was ever a prostitute, the Miami Herald reported Wednesday.

The Dolphins travel to play the Cowboys Thursday night on the final day of the NFL preseason.

Ireland posed the question to Bryant in a face-to-face meeting prior to the draft, in which Bryant was selected by Dallas in the first round.

Neither Ireland, nor Bryant have discussed in what context the question was asked. Bryant's mother was imprisoned at one time for selling drugs while Bryant was a child.

Bryant told Ireland in the meeting that his mother never worked as a prostitute.
