Whatever Taylor’s post-practice routine, it’s been working. In the last two games, Taylor has caught his first two NFL touchdown passes, proving his size and length are great advantages in the red zone.

The key in this play is obviously first and foremost the effort by Trevor Siemian to get free of the pass rush coming from Justin Houston, but at a critical time, this was a great throw and catch by Siemian and Taylor.
Taylor has showed great field awareness and body control in both of his touchdown grabs, making the play getting both feet just inside the paint. It’s an encouraging sign for the Broncos, who have been really seeking a stable third receiver in this offense. Taylor hasn’t seen as many snaps as other guys, but he’s made some big plays and has earned the trust of the coaching staff.
Last season, Taylor was on the Broncos’ practice squad and has become famous for being part of the recovery team for Peyton Manning, who threw passes to Taylor and taught him more than any of us can know. Manning’s investment in Taylor has paid off, and the young receiver is now making plays on Sundays, showing off the phenomenal athleticism he was known for coming out of college as well as the good hands and red zone prowess.
