Darrelle Revis remains in concussion protocol, 'feeling a lot better'
The New York Jets have been without top cornerback Darrelle Revis over the past two weeks due to a concussion suffered in Week 11, but they've overcome the injury in a big way.
They've gone 2-0 without Revis, topping the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants. That's not to say they're not desperate to get their star back, but it's unclear when that will happen.
On Monday, head coach Todd Bowles gave an update on Revis' health, but didn't comment on when the Jets can expect him to be back on the field. Revis is "feeling a lot better" according to Bowles, and is "doing light physical activity."
Without Revis, the Jets have allowed an average of 324 passing yards per game and four touchdowns in two games. He got off to a hot start, intercepting three passes in his first five games. He hasn't had an interception since Week 6 and only has two passes defensed in the past five games.
He's still an integral part of the Jets defense, but he's struggled of late. New York could certainly use his help in the secondary, though, especially with Marcus Williams also banged up.
Bowles said Williams is a "wait-and-see" situation right now as he's dealing with a knee sprain suffered two weeks ago against the Dolphins.
