Darrelle Revis exits game with head injury, doesn't return

It wasn't a great Sunday for the New York Jets as they fell to the Houston Texans, 24-17. It was especially rough for cornerback Darrelle Revis.

Revis was burned by DeAndre Hopkins for a long touchdown early in the game, and it didn't get any better from there. After taking a knee to the head from running back Akeem Hunt in the third quarter, Revis went to the locker room.

Tony Bowles later told reporters that Revis suffered a concussion. He was unable to return, and the Jets quickly felt his absence. A few plays after he left the game, Hopkins beat Revis' replacement, Marcus Williams, for a 20-yard touchdown.

It's unclear exactly how severe the head injury is or how long Revis might be out, but it's not a good sign for the Jets, who are reeling of late. They've dropped four of their past five games and are now 5-5 on the year.
