Danny Amendola cheap shot on punt sparks scrum, Patriots offense

Looks like Danny Amendola didn't watch the Pittsburgh Steelers-Cincinnati Bengals game last weekend.

A week after a game marred by flags, illegal hits and fights in which the Steelers ended up beating the Bengals, New England Patriots receiver and punt returner Danny Amendola lowered the boom on Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Jamell Fleming.

Fleming was trying to down the punt, and Amendola leveled Fleming with the crown of his helmet with 8:59 left in the second quarter.

Amendola was flagged for a personal foul, and a bit of a scrum ensued in the end zone afterward. Amendola's hit didn't go over well off the field, either.

It seemed like Amendola's cheap shot sparked the Patriots, who then marched 98 yards on 11 plays to score a touchdown after a lackluster half. A quarterback sneak by Tom Brady made it 14-3 in the second quarter.
