Dak Prescott issues statement following DUI arrest

By Matt Lombardi

Saturday night, it was reported - first by The Clarion Ledger – that former Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott had been arrested earlier that morning for DUI. Prescott, who is currently preparing for the NFL Draft, was pulled over at 12:45 AM and later released on bond.

Sunday afternoon, Prescott, via the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, released a statement on the matter. He took responsibility for the incident and apologized to his friends, family and fans. He also vowed not to let it determine his character.

Prescott, one of the most efficient quarterbacks in recent SEC history, is one of the top quarterback prospects in the country. He’s expected to be a mid-round selection.
