Curtis Lofton is the Raiders' weakest link in pass coverage

The Raiders added Curtis Lofton for his veteran presence and sure-handed tackling ability.

They'll have to put up with his terrible coverage skills. According to football statistics site Pro Football Focus, opposing QBs can't miss when they find who Lofton's guarding.

Oakland had a capable coverage linebacker last year in Nick Roach. They still could turn to a younger option like rookie Ben Heeney if his struggles continue.

That might be prudent. The Raiders defense calls for a 'backer who can back off in coverage and so far, Lofton isn't the answer.
