Cromartie returns to practice for Jets, unsure of Week 2 status

Antonio Cromartie and the New York Jets avoided disaster when the cornerback was diagnosed with just a sprained knee and not a torn ACL.

Given his fortunate diagnosis, there's a chance Cromartie could play on Monday night against the Indianapolis Colts. Cromartie returned to practice on Wednesday, which gives a better indication of his availability for Monday.

According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, Bowles wants to see Cromartie run first before saying he's good to go against the Colts.

Cromartie didn't practice in full on Wednesday as he mainly participated in stretching and rehab work. Nonetheless, it's a good sign to see him back on the field after what appeared to be a serious injury.
