Cowboys sign running back Robert Turbin

Once again, the Dallas Cowboys have added a former Seattle Seahawks running back to their roster. On Wednesday, the Cowboys will be signing free agent Robert Turbin, per ESPN's Todd Archer.

Turbin was entrenched as Marshawn Lynch's No. 2 in 2014, but after a high-ankle sprain in late August, the Seahawks decided to waive Turbin with an injury settlement. He was claimed and stashed by the Cleveland Browns until he was healthy in Week 6. After rushing for just 60 yards on 18 carries, Turbin was released by the Browns last week.

In Dallas, Turbin has a chance to emerge as the team's No. 2 back behind Darren McFadden if he can recapture his old form. At 5-foot-10 and 220 pounds, Turbin provides the size needed to play multiple downs and veteran depth for a team that has already cycled through Joseph Randle, Lance Dunbar and Christine Michael at the running back position this season.
