Colts lose backup QB Matt Hasselbeck to rib injury

Now the backup?

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Hasselbeck left Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a rib injury. The veteran was scrambling towards the sideline with a little more than 11 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter when he was shoved out of bounds.

Hasselbeck -- playing in place of injured starting QB Andrew Luck -- got up holding his left arm and was visibly upset. He left the game and was replaced by third-string signal-caller Charlie Whitehurst.

There is no word yet as to the extent of the injury. The Colts had not lost a game against a fellow AFC South opponent since 2012.
