Coaching staff undecided how touches will be distributed in backfield
The Cardinals running back depth is no longer an issue.
Adding David Johnson and Chris Johnson in the offseason to pair with Andre Ellington gives the Cardinals offense a number of options in the backfield.
How those touches will be distributed in Week 1 is unknown, though.
Ellington will be the starter, but where both Johnson's fit into the game plan will depend on game flow, according to offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin.
The Cardinals sought to improve their offensive line in the offseason as well, adding Mike Iupati and drafting D.J. Humphries.
But Iupati will be sidelined to start the season and Humphries underwhelmed in the preseason.
For a team that ranked 31st in rushing yards per game last season, how they will improve via the ground remains to be seen.
