Cleveland Browns announce new health care partner

CLEVELAND (AP) The Browns are making University Hospitals in Cleveland the team's official health care partner for the next decade.

The partnership announced Friday apparently ends the Browns' decades-long relationship with the Cleveland Clinic.

A joint statement from the health system and the team says University Hospitals will develop a sports medicine team with doctors in a variety of specialties who can address athletes' medical and training needs.

The agreement also means University Hospitals will handle urgent care for fans at FirstEnergy Stadium and provide health and wellness programs for the franchise.

They say a separate agreement will make the health system a sponsor of the team until 2024.

University Hospitals provides a network of medical care serving 16 counties.
