Chris Long announces he's a father with adorable photo

Free agent Chris Long is in for a busy offseason this year. The defensive end announced Friday that he became a father this week, and he shared an adorable photo of his newborn son for fans on Twitter. 

Long announced on Instagram that he and his wife Megan named the baby Waylon James Long. Little Waylon is the couple's first child. 

Long's football life will also be a bit crazy this offseason. After spending the first eight years of his career with the St. Louis Rams, Long became a free agent in February when the team decided to release him. Long never missed a game in his first six seasons of football but was limited to just 18 games over the past two seasons due to injury. Although Long will turn 31 years old at the end of the month, he is expected to be one of the most pursued defensive ends on the free agent market this spring.
