Chiefs lock up linebacker Tamba Hali with three-year deal

The Chiefs and veteran linebacker Tamba Hali agreed to a new three-year contract Tuesday.

Two of the years are guaranteed, and the new deal will allow Hali to finish his career in Kansas City.

This comes three days after the Chiefs voided the contract of Hali, who took a pay cut to remain in Kansas City last year and underwent knee surgery after the season's end.

The 32-year-old, five-time Pro Bowler was selected 20th overall in the 2006 NFL Draft by the Chiefs, and had 39 tackles and 6.5 sacks last season.
