Chester Rogers Ready to Rise for Colts

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Chester Rogers could be poised for a breakout game Sunday afternoon against the Tennessee Titans.

With Donte Moncrief (shoulder) presumably out  and Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) potentially joining him, Rogers could rise atop the depth chart as the starter alongside T.Y. Hilton.

The 6’1, 180 pound undrafted wide receiver out of Grambling State shined in preseason for the Colts–fighting his way tooth and nail onto the team’s 53-man active roster.

Since then, he’s quickly becoming one of the Colts key receivers, even catching 4 receptions for 63 receiving yards last weekend against the Houston Texans–including this impressive 36-yard run-and-catch featuring a spin move that would make even Dwight Freeney proud:

In fact, one could even make the argument of whether Rogers has actually outproduced the team’s former 2015 first round pick, Dorsett, in recent weeks:

Regardless, Rogers should assume a prominent receiving role with Andrew Luck and the Colts passing attack once again this weekend against the Titans.

While the 22 year old wideout has limited experience with the Colts star quarterback, Luck still has a great deal of confidence in the young wideout’s abilities:

Having fought his way onto the roster–only to become a key receiver for the offense, Rogers is ready to rise again–only this time atop the depth chart.
