Chargers ready for 'fun' final day of NFL draft with 5 picks
SAN DIEGO (AP) General manager Tom Telesco claims the San Diego Chargers don't rank their needs during the draft, which means they'll probably be going in every direction imaginable during the final four rounds.
The Chargers will have five picks Saturday, which Telesco calls ''the fun day.''
''It goes fast. Picks come off quickly. This is where you make your money,'' Telesco said. ''If there's starters on the board tomorrow, we have to find them. That's the fun part.''
The Chargers took Arkansas tight end Hunter Henry in the second round Friday and Southern California center Max Tuerk in the third round.
On Thursday, the Chargers selected Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa with the third pick overall.
''It's been perfect so far,'' coach Mike McCoy said.
