Chance the Rapper inspired Michael Bennett to donate all of his 2017 endorsement money

Just two days ago, Chance the Rapper pledged to donate $1 million to public schools in his home city of Chicago. It was an inspiring gesture not just for those in the Windy City, but for people all across the country.

Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett caught wind (no pun intended) of Chance’s decision and has also taken action. He vows to donate all of his endorsement money and half of his jersey sales in 2017 to help rebuild minority communities.

He announced the news on Instagram with a lengthy message, asking other athletes to join him and donate at least part of their endorsement money.

This news comes just one day after Bennett wrote a lengthy piece advocating for equality on International Women's Day.

Bennett is one of the most outspoken players in the NFL, and he's continued to use his platform in the best way possible. He already supports the community through The Bennett Foundation, which helps fight childhood obesity.
