Cardinals TE Fells agrees to one-year tender to remain with team
Starting tight end Darren Fells is remaining with the Arizona Cardinals.
Fells on Monday signed his exclusive rights tender offer, keeping the 6-foot-7, 281-pounder with the team through the 2016 season.
A surprise starter in his third season with the Cardinals, Fells had 21 receptions for 311 yards and three touchdowns while starting in 12 of 14 games. He had only five catches in 2014 after spending the previous season on Arizona's practice squad.
The Cardinals also signed journeyman cornerback Shaun Prater on Monday. A fifth-round draft pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2012, Prater has appeared in 21 games, including one apiece with the Minnesota Vikings and Indianapolis Colts this season.
