Cardinals' Stanton enters training camp with fully healthy knee
Carson Palmer wasn't the only Cardinals' quarterback to suffer through an injury-plagued 2014 season.
Backup signal caller Drew Stanton endured his fair share of bad luck, first with a concussion suffered in Week 4 vs. Denver. He went down with a knee injury (MCL sprain) in Week 15 vs. St. Louis, then developed a staph infection that ultimately cost him the remainder of the year.
With Palmer still rehabbing from a torn ACL, Stanton saw the majority of the first-team reps during OTAs.
“It’s responded really well,” Stanton said, per ESPN. “Starting way back when and kind of having a process and sticking to it, I haven’t had a day where it felt off or it didn’t feel like it recovered from the day before."
It is the Cardinals' hope that both Palmer and Stanton can stay healthy for the duration of the 2015 season.
