Cardinals' Iupati released from hospital; all tests normal

Arizona Cardinals offensive guard Mike Iupati was taken off the field in an ambulance following a jarring collision in the second quarter of Sunday night's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Iupat, who had feelings in all his extremities, underwent a CT scan and an MRI exam, which both came back normal. He was released from the hospital and was expected to fly back to Arizona with the team.

The three-time Pro Bowl selection was injured on a running play when he lowered his head and absorbed a hard shoulder hit to the helmet from Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor.

The 6-foot-5, 331-pound Iupati lay motionless on the field until trainers strapped him to a cart and ushered him into an ambulance on the field. Iupati is in his first year with the Cardinals after spending his first five seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.
