Cardinals CB Peterson loses bet, turns into elf
With the second-best record in football at 11-2 and a playoff spot already clinched, the Cardinals have had a fun season. And that fun doesn't stop when the games end, as the quarterbacks and a few other players have a weekly bet that often results in embarrassment for somebody.
That bet apparently involved five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson this week, as the team posted to its Twitter feed on Saturday a photo of Peterson dressed in some, erm, festive attire:
It's Santa's favorite helper, @RealPeterson21! (He lost the weekly QB bet) pic.twitter.com/xM2OwKuj67

While the hat and shoes in particular complete the elf ensemble, there's something off about this picture: As one of the best cornerbacks in football, Peterson -- who has two interceptions and eight passes defended this year -- is pretty stingy on the field. And aren't Santa's helpers supposed to be just the opposite?
Of course, Peterson is also 6-foot-1, so we'll just have to make believe on this one. If this guy can pass as an elf, so can he.
