Cardinals' Arians can count on his wife to get him in the zone
Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians knows how to get in the gone. His wife makes sure of it.
With Bruce Arians holding down of one of the most stressful jobs in sports, Christine Arians makes sure her husband gets plenty of R&R - with the emphasis on relaxation.
As part of her business in Arizona, called The Zone, Christine bought a specially designed relaxation booth that she uses regularly. She said her husband and some members of his coaching staff also spend time in the chamber that includes mood lighting and tape messages and recordings.
"He runs on adrenaline all the time. I try to get him in once a week," Christine Arians said of her husband per Arizona Central.com. "It helps maintain his stress at manageable levels."
The business is tailored to individuals in high-pressure occupations as well as others who deal with anxiety issues. The booth is designed to eliminate any outside distractions and provide positive stimuli, said Barbara Saint John, the business partner of Christine Arians.
"We're not claiming to treat anyone," Christine said. "But we provide an environment where a deep state of relaxation can happen."
