Wait a second -- isn't Cam Newton the Son of Jor-El?

The Carolina Panthers star QB dropped his Superman alter ego --€“ at least for this Sunday --€“ and is donning Green Lantern garb as he prepares to take on the New York Giants.

At least Newton is being somewhat consistent, keeping his hero choices within the DC Comics family.

Though Newton has donned Captain America and Batman in the past, the Green Lantern is a new one for the likely MVP front-runner.
