Byron Maxwell expects to play against Cardinals

Despite missing practice this week due to a sprained ankle, it appears Byron Maxwell will be ready to go as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Arizona Cardinals.

Maxwell told NJ.com's Eliot Shorr-Parks and reporters Wednesday that he is confident he will suit up on Sunday.

That's a good sign. The Eagles will already be without Nolan Carroll, who is out with an ankle injury. Without both he and Maxwell, the Eagles would be forced to rookie Eric Rowe and E.J. Biggers as their starting corners. That's not exactly ideal against the Cardinals' passing game, with deep threats John Brown and Michael Floyd, with a slot presence in Larry Fitzgerald.
