The Buffalo Bills traveled to Los Angeles for a meeting with the Rams for a Sunday afternoon game. It was a close one throughout, but the Bills stuck it out for a 30-19 victory.

The Buffalo Bills were searching for their third straight victory after a rocky 0-2 start to begin the season. The Los Angeles Rams created quite the obstacle, however.

Luckily, our Bills were able to stick it out for a 30-19 victory in hostile territory.

The Bills started the game very sound, both on offense and defense.

Although they allowed the Rams to drive the ball at the start of the game, they held them to a field goal early on. The Bills followed that up with a very efficient first drive of the game, totaling 12 plays and 76 yards in just over 7 minutes. They finished the drive with a 4-yard TD catch by Justin Hunter to take an early 7-3 lead.

Following a fumble by the Rams, the Bills cashed in on their second drive. It only lasted 3 plays, but it included a 53-yard rush by LeSean McCoy and a 5-yard rushing touchdown by Mike Gillislee.

After allowing another field goal and a 1-yard rushing touchdown to Todd Gurley, the Bills took a 16-13 lead heading into halftime with a field goal by Dan Carpenter.

The third quarter began with a field goal by the Rams, tying the game up at 16. However, the Rams would make another mistake on offense with the third quarter winding down.

Stepping back to pass, Case Keenum threw the ball out to his receiver. A bit off, Nickell Robey-Coleman stepped in for an interception. He finished by returning it for a touchdown, bringing the game to 23-16.

With 6 minutes remaining in the final quarter of play, the Rams dug into the Bills’ lead with another field goal. With the game 23-19, the Bills were eager to score again. However, they would give the Rams another chance with a 3-and-out.

Luckily, the Rams couldn’t make anything of it after a failed 4th-down fake punt. The Bills got the ball back with just under 4 minutes left in the game.

First play of that drive, McCoy runs for a 24-yard gain, forcing LA to call their first timeout of the second half with 2:48 left. Then, the stinger came when Tyrod Taylor threw a 6-yard TD pass to Marquise Goodwin with 2:37 left, sealing the deal for the Bills with a 30-19 victory.

With their third straight victory, the Bills now sit well in 2nd place in the AFC East. They trail the Patriots, who improved to 4-1 with Tom Brady back in action.

The Buffalo Bills did something they haven’t done in a while, which is win a game in Los Angeles. They finished with a 30-19 victory over the Rams to improve to 3-2 on the season.

Our first highlight came in the Buffalo Bills‘ first drive of the game, where Tyrod Taylor showcased more of his scrambling ability. He ended up finding a huge hole and turned it into a 22-yard rushing gain.

It would lead to a touchdown on the opening drive, which brings us to our next highlight.

To finish the Bills’ opening drive — which included strong running from LeSean McCoy, a big rush by Taylor and even a botched snap — Buffalo found the endzone.

Lined up at the 4-yard line, Tyrod felt the pressure after no targets seemed open. After scrambling to find some throwing room — or a running hole — he sees newly acquired Justin Hunter in the back of the endzone.

This is Hunter’s first game with the Buffalo Bills.

Buffalo started their second drive after Lerentee McCray forced a fumble on Todd Gurley — which was recovered by Corey Graham.

The Bills’ second drive only featured three plays, one of which was a 53-yard rush by McCoy. Following that play, the Bills called upon Mike Gillislee to punch it in, which he did.

The Bills’ lead was brought to 14-3.

With the game tied up at 16-a-piece with the third quarter winding down, both teams knew every snap counted. With the Rams’ offense in a 2nd-and-long situation, Buffalo saw an opportunity to strike.

Looking for his receiver near mid-field, Case Keenum’s throw is a bit off — allowing Nickell Robey-Coleman to step in and grab the interception. He then takes it to the house for a pick-6.

The Bills enjoyed a 23-16 lead heading into the final quarter of play.

Our last highlight of the night comes with the game winding down. With under four minutes left in the game, the Bills took advantage of good field position following a failed 4th-down fake punt by the Rams.

Following a nice, 24-yard gain by McCoy, Tyrod Taylor finished the drive with a 6-yard TD pass to Marquise Goodwin. Here’s a look at the two-play combo that gave the Bills a 30-19 lead.

The Bills’ followed that up with another interception by Robey-Coleman to seal the deal for Buffalo.
