Bucs hold Colts to historically low rushing performance

In what was a good day overall for the Colts, the Indianapolis running game had a historically poor performance in Sunday's 25-12 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Starter Frank Gore ran for 24 yards on 19 carries in the victory and the team managed a total of just 27 yards on the ground for the afternoon. Backup Ahmad Bradshaw, who suffered a season-ending wrist injury in the fourth quarter managed just six yards on four carries, while quarterback Matt Hasselbeck lost a combined three yards on his three rushing attempts.

Per ESPN, the Colts' 27-yard output was the team's third-lowest total in franchise history.

"This is all bigger than me,” Gore said. “We’re all trying. I’m fighting. As long as we get the win that’s all that matters. Yeah, it’s tough. All we can do to keep fighting.”

Indianapolis ranks 26th in the NFL in rushing, averaging 92 yards per game.
