The weather report for Sunday’s game between our Buccaneers and the Arizona Cardinals.

The weather is a factor in any outdoor game. We have even seen Super Bowls in the rain.  Weather plays a factor, precipitation or not. The Buccaneers head to the desert to take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at 4:05 ET. We know what the Bucs are up against, which is a lot.

So, how is the weather going to factor in?

Let’s take a look at Sunday’s weather report in Glendale, courtesy of AccuWeather:

Mostly sunny and warm, daytime high will be 103, with a heat index that makes it feel like 107. Winds will be out of the North but light, at five miles per hour.

As the day turns to night during the game, the temperature will only drop into the high 90’s.

So, how should this impact the game?

Get your running shoes on, folks, because this weather is prime for a shootout. We know how potent the Cardinals’ offense is, and we saw last week just how good Jameis Winston and company can be.

That will all be enhanced in the heat. Passes cut through the hot air, guys like Doug Martin and David Johnson will be in a position to run wild. No wind means the quarterbacks will be even more accurate than usual. Defenses do a lot of running around in the hot weather.

Look for this one to be a track meet, ladies and gentlemen.
