Browns WR Gordon back at practice, appeal continues Monday

BEREA, Ohio -- Browns Pro Bowl wide receiver Josh Gordon has returned to practice while his appeal hearing with the NFL enters a second day in New York.

Gordon was back on the field with his teammates Monday after missing two days of practice last week and Saturday's scrimmage in Akron. Gordon and his legal team met with an arbitrator for nearly 10 hours on Friday as he fights a potential one-year suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Gordon's hearing will resume at noon in the league offices.

The 23-year-old was suspended two games last season, but still led the league in yards receiving despite playing in 14 games and with three quarterbacks.

The Browns are eager to find out whether they'll have Gordon at all this season.
