Browns will look into claim that RG3 and his girlfriend had money stolen

Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson said Monday the team is looking into allegations that Robert Griffin III and his girlfriend had their wallets stolen from a team garage Sunday.

“We have the right people working on the situation and we'll get to bottom of it,” Jackson said, via the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The alleged incident occurred during the Browns’ 27-13 loss to the Giants at FirstEnergy Stadium. Griffin’s girlfriend Grete Sadeiko, a member of the Florida State track & field team, reacted to the episode on Twitter after the game.

When asked on Twitter why she and Griffin left their wallets in their car, she said the couple assumed their belongings would be safe at the team's facility.

Griffin, who is still working his way back from a left shoulder injury, later reacted to Sadeiko’s tweet.

Griffin, who returned to practice last week, has played in one game this season, completing 12 of 26 attempts for 190 yards and an interception. He signed a two-year deal with the Browns in March.
