Browns move up to 3, pick Richardson

The Cleveland Browns traded with the Minnesota Vikings to acquire the No. 3 overall pick of the NFL Draft, which they used to select running back Trent Richardson.

Sources say the Browns, who held the fourth overall pick, were worried the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would try to engineer a deal with the Vikings to snag the former Alabama star.

In the addition to handing Minnesota their No. 4 pick, which Minnesota used to selected offensive lineman Matt Kalil, the Browns also added their picks in the fourth, fifth and seventh rounds.
