Browns' 2015 class lands in second in early draft power rankings

Not a down of football has been played, but the Browns are sitting pretty in NFL.com's 2015 draft power rankings.

With five players selected among the top 100 prospects, the Browns came in second place, behind only the Minnesota Vikings. The rankings assigned a point value based on where each player was slotted in the top 100.

Danny Shelton was No. 13, while fellow first-round pick Cameron Erving was 26. Duke Johnson (No. 61), Nate Orchard (No. 65), and Xavier Cooper (No. 92) rounded out the list.

With 32 teams in the NFL, simple math tells us that each team should end up with three players in the top 100 with all things being equal. With an extra first-round selection, the Browns were able to exceed those expectations.

As for their AFC North counterparts, the Ravens landed in 11th place with four prospects in the top 100. The Bengals and Steelers were further down the list in 21st and 24th place, respectively.
