Broncos to honor legendary owner Pat Bowlen all week long
The Denver Broncos are thanking their longtime patriarch with a week of well-deserved recognition.
Pat Bowlen will earn a spot among the team's Ring of Honor on Sunday night. His 1997 championship-winning team will be in attendance to see his induction, too.
It won't stop there. Bowlen's name will forever be tied to the training facility he spent $35 million to build in Dove Valley.
Bowlen has been a legend for the franchise. Under his stewardship, the Broncos own the third-best record (.614) in professional sports (only the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers are better).
Bowlen stepped down from day-to-day operations last season to battle Alzheimer's disease. But his influence is still clearly felt with the team he turned into a title contender.
