Broncos, Panthers combine to break / tie 10 Super Bowl records

While Super Bowl 50 almost certainly will be remembered more for Peyton Manning’s second championship — in perhaps his final game — than it will for what went down on the field, Sunday’s big game left its mark (10 of them, in fact) on the record books.

Fittingly, it is Manning and that dominant Denver defense, which battered Cam Newton all day in the Broncos’ 24-10, who took the biggest bite of history at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
