Broncos' Manning breaks all-time NFL passing yardage record

Peyton Manning now holds every major passing record in NFL history.

The Broncos quarterback surpassed Brett Favre's all-time yardage mark (71,838 yards) on Sunday at Mile High Stadium against the Kansas City Chiefs.

He now owns that mark, the all-time TD passes record, the single-season touchdowns record, the record for most passing yards in a season and several more parts of the NFL's record book.

Manning needed only three passing yards Sunday to pass Favre. He got the record on a 4-yard swing pass to running back Ronnie Hillman -- albeit after a first-pass interception.

The game was stopped to commemorate Manning's record. The Pro Football Hall of Fame will receive the record-breaking ball.
