Brandon Marshall Joins FS1
First Things First Thursday introduced former All-Pro wide receiver Brandon Marshall as the show's new co-host.
Marshall joins Nick Wright, Kevin Wildes and Jenna Wolfe on the early morning show, which airs weekdays at 7:30 a.m. ET on FS1.
The FTF team welcomed Marshall to the team with an on-air segment:
A 6-time Pro Bowl selection, Marshall enjoyed a 13-year career in the NFL where he amassed 970 receptions, more than 12,000 receiving yards and 83 touchdowns. He holds the record for most receptions in a single game with 21 catches against the Indianapolis Colts in 2009.
Marshall played for the Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, New York Jets, New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks before retiring after the 2018 season.
The 36-year-old also has impressed off the field, serving as a key member of Showtime's Inside the NFL since 2014. He received a Sports Emmy nomination for his work on the show in 2016.
Marshall is committed to several advocacy groups, including Project 375, a nonprofit organization he and his wife, Michi, founded in 2014. Per the organization's website, "Project 375 is led by passionate individuals dedicated to the education, support, and treatment of mental health."
In a release, Marshall expressed his excitement to join the First Things First team:
“I’m a very competitive person. Joining FS1 gives me the space and opportunity to continue to compete at a high level with a great team — just in a different venue. I’m excited to work with such amazing men and women to continue to develop and also talk about one of the closest things to my heart: sports.”
Marshall will make his first official appearance on Monday, Aug. 24.
