Body found; ex-boyfriend charged

The ex-boyfriend of missing Las Vegas dancer Deborah "Debbie" Flores-Narvaez was arrested and charged with her murder Saturday, the Las Vegas Sun reported.

Jason "Blu" Griffith, 32, was arrested and being held in the Clark County Detention Center without bail.

Detectives say the former NFL cheerleader's body was found downtown after an anonymous tip — but they would not reveal exactly where, KTNV.com reported.

"Based on the tip that came in, the information that we had, and the follow-up information that was gathered, it became pretty evident that the human remains we found were our victim's," said Lieutenant Lou Roberts. "From that, we were able to determine that our initial suspect was in fact our suspect."

Flores-Narvaez, a cast member of Luxor's "Fantasy" show, was last seen leaving her Las Vegas apartment about 7 p.m. local time Dec. 12.

She was thought to have stopped by Griffith’s residence after leaving her home. The 31-year-old was reported missing by her roommate two days later after she failed to show up for a dance practice and a show.

Griffith, who had been cooperating with authorities, was slated to appear in court last month on a domestic violence charge related to an October attack on Flores-Narvaez. He allegedly pushed her on the ground, kicked her and pulled her hair after snatching her phone.

The dancer had sent an ominous text message to her mother less than two weeks before she went missing. “In case there is ever an emergency with me, contact Blu Griffith in Vegas. My ex-boyfriend. Not my best friend,” the message read.

Flores-Narvaez was originally from Puerto Rico. An autopsy will be done Monday.
