Bills WR Sammy Watkins (ankle) out Sunday vs. Jaguars
The Buffalo Bills can't seem to catch a break as they'll once again be without a key contributor on offense.
During his press conference on Thursday, head coach Rex Ryan told reporters that Sammy Watkins won't play this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London due to an ankle injury.
Watkins suffered the injury in Week 6 after catching a touchdown pass, and was spotted on crutches and in a walking boot upon arriving in London. Watkins missed most of last week's game as he left in the first half and did not return.
He'll join a long list of injured Bills that will not play Sunday against the Jaguars. That list includes Tyrod Taylor, Sammy Watkins, Kyle Williams, Karlos Williams, and Seantrel Henderson -- all of whom have been starters at some point this season.
EJ Manuel will get the start at quarterback, but he won't have many targets to throw to. Robert Woods and Chris Hogan are likely to be the starters, but they're certainly no Watkins or Harvin. Due to all the injuries, the Bills will probably lean on LeSean McCoy and the running game heavily this week.
