Bills running back LeSean McCoy returns to practice

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) Bills running back LeSean McCoy has returned to practice to test his left hamstring injury, though his status remains uncertain for Buffalo's game at Seattle on Monday.

Coach Rex Ryan would only say he's hopeful McCoy can play. Buffalo's top offensive threat has been out since aggravating the injury in the second half of a 28-25 loss at Miami two weeks ago.

The Bills (4-4) have lost two straight, and McCoy has accounted for a large portion of Buffalo's production. He leads the team with 598 yards rushing and has scored seven touchdowns, including one receiving.

Ryan also announced Thursday that defensive tackle Marcell Dareus missed practice because of a groin injury sustained in a 41-25 loss to New England last weekend.

Dareus missed the previous three games with a hamstring injury, and opened the season serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
