Bills' Jackson expected to play Sunday
Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson is expected to play against New England on Sunday, barring any last-minute setback to his sprained right knee.
Coach Chan Gailey provided the update after Jackson took part in most of practice Thursday. It was his second straight workout since he was hurt in a season-opening loss at the New York Jets.
Jackson's return would provide a big boost for Buffalo (2-1). The Bills are expected to be without running back C.J. Spiller, who hurt his left shoulder in a win at Cleveland on Sunday. Spiller was limited in returning to practice for the first time since getting hurt.
Jackson said he felt good as he walked off the field following practice. He had complained of soreness in his knee earlier in the day.
